15 min2 portions

Ingrédients

  • 2 can canned tuna in water · 5 oz each, drained
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 stalk celery · finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion · finely diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slice sandwich bread
  • 2 tbsp butter · softened
  • 2 leaf iceberg lettuce · washed and dried
  • 1 piece tomato · thickly sliced

Préparation

  1. 1

    Make the tuna salad

In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined and creamy.

  2. 2

    Toast the bread

Spread the softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice. Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast the bread, butter-side down, until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Assemble the sandwiches

Place a slice of lettuce and a few tomato slices on two of the toasted bread pieces. Spoon half of the tuna salad onto each, then top with the remaining bread slices.
