Chicken Caesar Salad
Crisp romaine tossed in tangy, creamy Caesar dressing with juicy grilled chicken, crunchy croutons, and shaved Parmesan.
Ingrédients
- 2 piece boneless skinless chicken breasts · pounded to even thickness
- 3 piece romaine lettuce hearts · chopped into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing · store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese · freshly shaved or grated
- 1 1/2 cup croutons · store-bought or homemade
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt · to taste
- black pepper · to taste
- 1/2 piece lemon · optional, for squeezing over finished salad
Préparation
- 1
Season the chicken
Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil and season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Cook the chicken
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through with no pink inside. Transfer to a cutting board and rest for 5 minutes.
- 3
Slice the chicken
Slice the rested chicken against the grain into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.
- 4
Prep the romaine
Wash and dry the romaine hearts thoroughly. Chop into bite-sized pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.
- 5
Dress the salad
Pour Caesar dressing over the romaine a little at a time, tossing well until every leaf is lightly coated. Add more dressing to taste.
- 6
Assemble and serve
Divide the dressed romaine among plates or bowls. Top with sliced chicken, croutons, and a generous shower of Parmesan. Squeeze a little lemon over the top if desired and finish with cracked black pepper.
