Beef and Bean Burritos
Warm flour tortillas stuffed with savory seasoned ground beef, hearty black beans, and gooey melted cheese for a satisfying bite.
Ingredients
- 4 large flour tortillas · 10-inch
- 1 lb ground beef · 80/20 blend
- 1 oz taco seasoning · 1 packet
- 15 oz canned black beans · drained and rinsed
- 1.5 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1/2 cup salsa · mild or medium
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Directions
- 1
Brown the beef
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- 2
Simmer the filling
Stir the taco seasoning, black beans, and salsa into the cooked beef. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture is thickened.
- 3
Warm the tortillas
Heat the flour tortillas in the microwave for 15 seconds or in a dry skillet for 10 seconds per side. Warming them prevents tearing when rolling.
- 4
Assemble and toast
Divide the beef mixture and shredded cheese among the center of the tortillas. Fold the sides in, roll tightly, and toast in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
