Question 1

What does Kinmory help my family do?

Accepted Answer

Kinmory brings shared calendars, tasks, meals, shopping lists, and selected family information together. Its assistant can help find information and suggest the next action.

Question 2

Can I use a tablet I already own?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sign in to Kinmory in an iPad or Android tablet browser and use the built-in full-screen view. You do not need to buy a dedicated display.

Question 3

What is the difference between the browser and KinCals?

Accepted Answer

The browser offers the family organizer on your tablet. KinCals is a dedicated tablet app included with eligible membership and adds device-specific controls. Both use the same family account.

Question 4

Can I connect an existing school or sports calendar?

Accepted Answer

Kinmory supports Google and Outlook calendars and supported iCal or TeamSnap feeds. A live feed is useful when the school or team changes its schedule.

Question 5

Will a school newsletter add events automatically?

Accepted Answer

Kinmory can suggest events from a supported newsletter or notice. You review the details and choose what to create; suggestions are not silently added.

Question 6

Can a newsletter become tasks or saved information too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An action can become a task, while useful reference details can be saved to Family Memory when your plan supports it. You decide what to keep.

Question 7

Can Kinmory analyze only school emails?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For automatic collection, whitelist mode limits new analysis to senders or sender patterns you allow, such as a school or teacher.

Question 8

What happens to email from a blocked sender?

Accepted Answer

A matching new automatically collected message is skipped before Kinmory reads its subject, body, or attachments.

Question 9

Do sender rules affect old or manually forwarded email?

Accepted Answer

No. The rules apply to new automatic collection, not past results. An email you deliberately forward is analyzed as an explicit request.

Question 10

How do I find a detail from an old school newsletter?

Accepted Answer

Save useful reference information in Family Memory, then ask about it later. Review the available source before relying on an important or time-sensitive answer.

Question 11

Can every family member see my connected sources?

Accepted Answer

No. You choose whether a supported source is private or shared. Connecting a personal source does not automatically expose it to the family.

Question 12

Does Family Memory replace my original files?

Accepted Answer

No. It helps you ask questions across selected sources while the originals remain in their source apps. Available source cards let you check the record.

Question 13

Does feeding a virtual pet spend reward points?

Accepted Answer

No. Pet growth and family reward points are separate. A completed eligible task can help the pet grow without spending points saved for a real reward.

Question 14

How many tasks can help a pet grow each day?

Accepted Answer

Up to five eligible task completions per child can contribute to pet growth each day. Other tasks and reward points continue after that limit.

Question 15

How should we start with tasks and virtual pets?

Accepted Answer

Start with one clear morning task and one evening task. Choose actions a child can observe and complete, then adjust the routine if it causes stress.
